This page explains who writes the company pages and guides on CandorRated, how we check what we publish, and how we keep money and personal interests away from what you read.

Who writes what

  • Reviews and community posts are written by members, in their own words. We never write, edit or pay for reviews. We only remove content that breaks our review guidelines, and we tell the author why.
  • Company summaries, category guides and blog articles are written by the CandorRated editorial team.
  • Company facts (who runs a website, how long it has existed, where the company is registered) are collected from public sources — official company registers, domain registries, Wikidata and the company's own website — and every fact shows where it came from.

How we check what we publish

Company summaries are written from public, sourced information and describe what a company does, not whether it is good. They never contain ratings or recommendations: those come only from reviews. We use AI tools to help draft summaries from those sources; we check them, and correct anything reported as wrong.

Corrections

If something on a company page is wrong, tell us. We check every report and correct confirmed mistakes within 5 working days. Companies can also claim their page for free to keep their own details correct.

Independence

No company can pay to be written about, to change what we write, to remove a review or to change its Candor Score or its place in a ranked list. Paid placements are always labelled Sponsored — see how we make money.

Conflicts of interest

CandorRated never lists, reviews, ranks or features companies that the people who run it own or work for. If anyone on our team is ever connected to a company listed here, we say so on its page and that person takes no part in moderating its reviews.
