Review guidelines
Last updated 19 October 2026
Reviews help other people make good decisions. These rules keep them useful and fair.
Do
- Write about your own, genuine experience with the business, from the last 12 months.
- Be specific: what you bought or used, what happened, and how the business responded.
- Stay honest and respectful, even when the experience was bad. Criticism is welcome; abuse is not.
- Update your review if the business fixes the problem — you can edit it any time.
Don't
- Review a business you own, work for, are related to, or compete with.
- Accept money, discounts, gifts or anything else in return for a review — or for changing or removing one.
- Include personal data: full names of staff, phone numbers, email addresses, home addresses, order numbers, or links.
- Post hate speech, threats, harassment, sexual content, or accusations of crimes you cannot back up.
- Copy text from other reviews or write several reviews of the same experience.
- Use reviews to advertise, or to complain about something unrelated to the business (for example a delivery company in a shop's review).
What happens when a rule is broken
The review is held or removed and you are told why. Repeated or serious breaches (fake reviews, paid reviews, abuse) lead to the account being closed. To flag a review to our team, press Report under it (you need to be signed in), or use the contact form.
