How to compare companies on CandorRated
Every company on CandorRated is listed under the category that best describes what it sells or does. Open a category to see every company in it, then narrow the list down by subcategory, by country, state or city, or by rating.
How companies are ranked
Companies with reviews come first, ranked by their Candor Score. Recent reviews count for more than old ones, and a company needs a good number of reviews before it can reach the top, so a handful of five-star reviews is never enough. Companies without reviews yet are listed by how often people look for them. Sponsored companies, when shown, are labelled and sit above the list; no company can pay to change its place in the ranked list or to have a review removed.
What to check before you buy
- Read the latest reviews, not just the score. Look at what happened to people in the last few months, and how the company replied.
- Check who runs the company. Each company page shows the facts we could confirm from public sources: the registered company, how long the website has existed, where the company is based and how to contact it.
- Compare two or three alternatives in the same category before you decide.
- Look at the bad reviews too. A company that answers complaints and fixes problems is often a safer choice than one with no complaints at all.

A business that claims its page can suggest changes to its details. Our team decides the category so that similar companies stay together.
Why is a company I know missing?
We are adding companies all the time. If one is missing, you can add it yourself and be the first to review it.
Are the reviews checked?
Every review is screened for spam and fake patterns before it goes live. We do not verify purchases, so read reviews with that in mind. How reviews work
