About Prolific

Prolific is an online platform that connects researchers, AI developers and organizations with people who take part in studies and data tasks for payment. Participants sign up to complete surveys, experiments and AI training tasks, while researchers use the platform to recruit and pay them. The prolific.com domain was first registered in 1995. The website publishes help, contact, about, careers, terms and privacy pages, and the company is on X, LinkedIn and YouTube. No headquarters or founding date was found. If you plan to earn as a participant, expect paid work in this category to be irregular, since studies are offered based on your profile and availability. Answer screening questions honestly, as inconsistent answers can lead to account restrictions. Check the minimum payout, which payment methods are supported and whether any fees apply. Read how your study data is stored and shared. Researchers should review the platform's fee structure and participant-quality controls before launching larger studies, and run a small pilot first.
