About Public Storage

Public Storage is an American self-storage company that rents storage units of different sizes to households and businesses. Customers can search locations, compare unit sizes and reserve or rent units online or through its Android and iOS apps. Founded in 1972, the company is headquartered in Glendale, California. It operates as a real estate investment trust and is publicly traded under the ticker PSA. It has a Wikipedia entry, and its domain was registered in 1995. The website publishes help, about, contact, terms and privacy pages, and a phone number is listed. When renting any storage unit, ask whether the online price is an introductory rate and how much the rent may rise after the first months. Check for administrative fees, required insurance or protection plans, and the rules on access hours. Read the move-out notice period so you are not charged for an extra month. Keep payments up to date, as storage operators may be allowed to auction the contents of units with unpaid rent, following the process set by local law. Do not store valuables you cannot afford to lose.
