About Cars & Bids

Cars & Bids is an online auction marketplace for enthusiast vehicles, mostly from the 1980s onward. Sellers list cars with photos, history and a description, and buyers bid over a set period, with a comment section for questions. The site was started by automotive YouTuber Doug DeMuro, and the carsandbids.com domain was registered in 2019. The website publishes about, help, shipping, terms, privacy and cookie pages, and lists both a phone number and an email address. Cars & Bids is active on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and X. Buying a car at online auction without seeing it in person needs extra care. Read the full listing and every seller answer in the comments, and check the vehicle history report for accidents, title brands and mileage gaps. Arrange an independent pre-purchase inspection where possible, especially for high-value or older cars. Factor in the buyer's fee, transport, taxes and registration when setting your maximum bid. Confirm how payment is made and when the title transfers, and never wire money to a party you have not verified through the site.
